In the past, during the Easter season in the slovak countryside traditionally folk ceremonies and habits were held which, according to the notions stretched back to the slavonic and B. C. period, had to enable the spring-coming. They also should have to assure good harvest, peoples and house-animals health, cleanse of bad forces and making conquest of deceased. These habits are bound to holidays symbolising the notions about the news, start of new life, cleanliness and order.

The stamp-motive features the habit which was performed by women in western Slovakia in the spring time. It was collecting of dews which was delaid for wholesome uses.
