Folklore festival Východná - exhibition of folk - music, song, dance, games, habits, recital, folk - poetry, costumes, embroideries, sculptures. From 1953 take place every year in Východná. The festival is the top exhibition of results achieved by regular and systematic work of many institutions, organizations, associations, and individuals in the field of traditional and folk culture.

On July 4-6, 1997 will take place 43 years of the festival. The festival during his existence expressively contributed for revining, preserving, unfold a creative and public presentation of our folk culture scare value treasuries.

The results of this work arranged Folklore festival Východná among the best undertakings traditional and folk culture in the world. It is also an associated member of International Organization of Folklore Festivals - C. I. O. F. F. by UNESCO.
